Seminar Notes
Shabuoth
is the Hebrew name for
the appointed time (FESTIVAL)
Gentiles
call PENTECOST.
Pentecost
is Greek
-
Pente (50) +
Cost (count) “count
fifty” 7 x 7 = 49 +
1.
Shabuoth
(weeks) is coming (May
27 on the Roman
Calendar), and is the
annual
commemoration/observance
of the giving of TORAH.
ISRAEL
was wedded to Yahuah
at the first Shabuoth.
It
is the “wedding
anniversary” of this
marriage, not a
“birthday”.
TORAH
is the Hebrew word for
teaching or
instruction.
At
Sinai, this Torah was written
in stone.
At
Acts 2 in Yerushaliyim,
the Torah was written
in men’s hearts and
minds.
SHABUA
+ OTH
(SHABUA
is Hebrew for
“week”, and the
ending –OTH makes it
plural)
Shabuoth
literally means
“weeks” (7 weeks
counted from the First-Fruits
offering.
Yahushua is the
First-Fruits, from the
dead).
Note
that many who follow
the traditions of
Judaism consider FF
to be on ABIB 16,
however the FF
wave-offering pictures
Yahushua’s
resurrection,
and He was still in
the tomb on ABIB 16.
When
He rose after 3 days
and 3 nights in the
tomb, and met Miryam
at the garden tomb, He
would not allow her to
touch Him, because
He had not yet
presented Himself to
the Father as the FF
wave-sheaf offering.
This was, and
is, always on the
first day of the week,
the “morrow
after the Sabbath”.
Shabuoth
is a COMMANDED
commemoration of the
giving of the Torah at
Sinai, year-by-year.
MOED’IM
= “Appointed
times”,
FESTIVALS OF hwhy
(YAHUAH)
As
the MOED, “appointed
time”, of Shabuoth
(weeks) approaches,
here's something to
ponder:
Consider
the "appointed
times" we should
be observing, as we
have been enjoined to
Yahuah as Israel
through His Covenant
(Lev. 23, Dt. 16).
These are
listed as the Sabbath
(weekly), Passover,
Unleavened bread,
Shabuoth (called
"Pentecost"),
and the appointments
of the seventh moon,
Yom Teruah, Yom Kaphar
(Kippur), and Sukkoth
(Tabernacles), and are
carefully explained so
all Israel will
observe them and see
Yahuah’s redemption
plan for them.
Yahuah
uses agricultural
metaphors to represent
His "redemption
plan" for Israel,
and Yahushua's work is
accomplishing that
redemption through all
of these "shadows".
They
are literally shadows
(metaphoric
teachings) for
Israel.
Now,
consider the following
correction of
the translation we are
all familiar with:
"Let
no man therefore judge
you in meat, or in
drink, or in respect
of a festival, or of
the new moon, or of
the Sabbath days
which are a
shadow of things to
come for
the body of (Mashiach)." Col
2:16-17
Normally
we see the word but
in the last phrase.
However, these
"shadows"
are intended to be for
the body of Mashiach,
not ignored as
Christianity has done.
The
word commonly
translated as but
instead of for
is the Greek word
“de”, #1161, and
can mean a variety of
things in English.
It
is a primary
particle that can
mean:
but, and, or,
also, yet, however,
then, so, or FOR.
(In
the last phrase, the
word is
does not exist in any
of the received Greek
texts; it is in italics
in the KJV because it
was an added
word).
I
had always wondered
why this verse seemed
to end so strangely -
it never made any
sense when it was
rendered "but
the body (is)
of Christ".
These
festivals
are shadows of
things to come, and
certainly are
for the body of (Mashiach).
The
body of Mashiach is
Israel.
ISRAEL
was gathered together
as we see at Acts 2:
“And
when the day
of Pentecost (SHABUOTH)
was
fully come, they were
all with one accord in
one place.
And
suddenly there came a
sound from heaven as
of a rushing mighty
wind, and it filled
all the house where
they were sitting.
And
there appeared unto
them cloven tongues
like as of fire, and
it sat upon each of
them.
And
they were all filled
with the (Ruach
haQodesh), and
began to speak with
other tongues, as the
Spirit gave them
utterance.
And
there were dwelling at
Yerushaliyim Yahudim,
devout men, out of
every nation under
heaven.
Now
when this was heard
abroad, the multitude
came together, and
were confounded,
because that every man
heard them speak in
his own language.
And
they were all amazed
and marveled, saying
one to another,
Behold, are not all
these which speak
Galilaeans?
And
how hear we every man
in our own tongue,
wherein we were born?
Parthians,
and Medes, and
Elamites, and the
dwellers in
Mesopotamia, and in
Judaea, and Cappadocia,
in Pontus, and Asia,
Phrygia,
and Pamphylia, in
Egypt, and in the
parts of Libya about
Cyrene, and strangers
of Rome, Yahudim (Jews)
and proselytes,
Cretes
and Arabians, we do
hear them speak in our
tongues the wonderful
works of (Elohim).
And
they were all amazed,
and were in doubt,
saying one to another,
What is the meaning of
this?
Others
mocking said, ‘These
men are full of new
wine’.
But
Peter, standing up
with the eleven,
lifted up his voice,
and said to them, You
men of Yahudah, and
all you that dwell at
Yerushaliyim, be this
known to you, and
hearken to my words:
For
these are not drunken,
as you suppose, seeing
it is but the third
hour of the day.
(about 9 a.m.
Roman time)
But
this is that which was
spoken by the prophet
(YAHEL) Joel;
And
it shall come to pass
in the last days,
saith (Elohim),
I will pour out of My
Spirit upon all flesh:
and your sons and your
daughters shall
prophesy, and your
young men shall see
visions, and your old
men shall dream
dreams:
And
on My servants and on
my handmaidens I will
pour out in those days
of My Spirit; and they
shall prophesy:
And
I will show wonders in
heaven above, and
signs in the earth
beneath; blood, and
fire, and vapor of
smoke:
The
sun shall be turned
into darkness, and the
moon into blood,
before that great and
notable day of (YAHUAH)
come:
And
it shall come to pass,
that whosoever shall
call on the Name of (YAHUAH)
shall be saved.
You
men of Israel, hear
these words; (YAHUSHUA)
of Natzarith, a man
approved of (Elohim)
among you by miracles
and wonders and signs,
which (Elohim)
did by him in the
midst of you, as you
yourselves also know:
Him,
being delivered by the
determinate counsel
and foreknowledge of (Elohim),
you have taken, and by
wicked hands have
executed and slain:
Whom
(Elohim)
has raised up, having
loosed the pains of
death: because it was
not possible that he
should be held by it.
For
David speaks
concerning him, I
foresaw the Sovereign
always before my face,
for he is on my right
hand, that I should
not be moved:
Therefore
did my heart rejoice,
and my tongue was
glad; moreover also my
flesh shall rest in
hope:
Because
thou wilt not leave my
soul in hell, neither
wilt thou suffer your
Qodesh One to see
corruption.
Thou
hast made known to me
the ways of life; thou
shall make me full of
joy with thy
countenance.
Men
and brethren, let me
freely speak unto you
of the patriarch
David, that he is both
dead and buried, and
his sepulchre is with
us unto this day.
Therefore
being a prophet, and
knowing that (Elohim)
had sworn with an oath
to him, that of the
fruit of his loins,
according to the
flesh, he would raise
up (MASHIACH)
to sit on his throne;
He
seeing this before
spoke of the
resurrection of(Mashiach),
that his soul was not
left in (SHEOL),
neither his flesh did
see corruption.
This
(YAHUSHUA)
has (Elohim)
raised up, whereof we
all are witnesses.
Therefore
being by the right
hand of (Elohim)
exalted, and having
received of the Father
the promise of the (Ruach
haQodesh), he has
shed forth this, which
you now see and hear.
For
David is not ascended
into the heavens: but he saith
himself, (Yahuah)
said unto my
Sovereign, Sit on my
right hand,
Until
I make your enemies
your footstool.
36
Therefore let all the
house of Israel know
assuredly, that (Elohim)
has made that same (YAHUSHUA),
whom you have
executed, both Master
and (MASHIACH).
Now
when they heard this,
they were pricked in
their heart, and said
unto Peter and to the
rest of the apostles,
Men and brethren, what
shall we do?
Then
Peter said to them,
Repent, and be
baptized every one of
you in the name of (YAHUSHUA
ha’MASHIACH) for
the remission of sins,
and you shall receive
the gift of the (Ruach
haQodesh).
For
the promise is to you,
and to your children,
and to all that are
afar off, even as many
as (Yahuah)
our (Elohim)
shall call.
And
with many other words
did he testify and
exhort, saying,
‘Save
yourselves from this
untoward
generation.’
Then
they that gladly
received his word were
baptized: and the same
day there were added
unto them about three
thousand souls.
And
they continued
steadfastly in the
apostles' doctrine and
fellowship, and in
breaking of bread, and
in prayers.
And
fear came upon every
soul: and many wonders
and signs were done by
the apostles.
And
all that believed were
together, and had all
things common;
And
sold their possessions
and goods, and parted
them to all men, as
every man had need.
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Praising
(Elohim),
and having favour with
all the people. And (Yahuah)
added to the KAHAL
daily such as should
be saved.”

ASERETH
HA’DABARIM (10
WORDS)
Yahuah’s
Covenant, our wedding
vows:
The one whom you obey is the one you serve.
NOTE: The Catholic format of the Ten Commandments alters or changes them (Daniel 7:25).
They eliminated the 2nd Commandment, and made the 10th Commandment into two!
LITERAL
TRANSLATION:
“And
Elohim spoke all these
Words:
1.
‘I
am Yahuah
your Elohim, who
brought you out of
Egypt, out of the land
of slavery.
You
shall have no other
elohim before My face.
2. You
shall not make for
yourself an idol in
the form of anything
in heaven above or on
the Earth beneath or
in the waters below.
You shall not
bow down to them or
worship them;
for I, Yahuah
your Elohim, am a
jealous Elohim,
punishing the children
for the sin of the
fathers to the third
and fourth generation
of those who hate me,
but showing love to a
thousand [
generations] of those
who love
Me
and keep
My commandments.
3. You shall not cast
the Name of
Yahuah your
Elohim to ruin, for Yahuah
will not hold anyone guiltless who casts His Name
to ruin.
4. Remember
the Sabbath day by
keeping it qodesh.
Six
days you shall labor
and do all your work,
but the seventh
day is a Sabbath to Yahuah
your Elohim.
On
it you shall not do
any work, neither you,
nor your son or
daughter, nor your
manservant or
maidservant, nor your
animals, nor the alien
within your gates.
For in six days
Yahuah
made the heavens and
the earth, the sea,
and all that is in
them, and He rested on
the seventh day.
Therefore
Yahuah
blessed
the Sabbath day and
made it qodesh.
5. Honor
your father and your
mother, so that you
may live long in the
land Yahuah
your Elohim is giving
you.
6. You
shall not murder.
7. You
shall not adulterate.
8. You
shall not steal.
9. You
shall not give false
testimony against your
neighbor.
10. You
shall not covet your
neighbor's house. You
shall not covet your
neighbor's wife, or
his manservant or
maidservant, his ox or
donkey, or anything
that belongs to your
neighbor.”
The
SHADOWS of the

Feast of
Unleavened Bread

The Feast of

7. The Great Last Day
Lev
23:9-21
“(Yahuah)
said to Mosheh,
Speak to the
Israelites and say to
them: 'When you enter
the land I am going to
give you and you reap
its harvest, bring to
the priest
a
sheaf of the first
grain you harvest.
He
is to wave the sheaf
before (Yahuah) so it
will be accepted on
your behalf; the
priest is to
wave
it on
the day after the
Sabbath.’”
The
count to Shabuoth:
"'From
the day after the
Sabbath, the day you
brought the sheaf of
the wave offering,
count off seven full
weeks.
Count off fifty
days up to the day
after the seventh
Sabbath,
and then present an
offering of new grain
to (Yahuah).”
From
wherever you live,
bring two loaves made
of two-tenths of an
ephah of fine flour,
baked with yeast, as a
wave offering of first-fruits to
(Yahuah).
Present with
this bread seven male
lambs, each a year old
and without defect,
one young bull and two
rams.
They will be a
burnt offering to (Yahuah),
together with their
grain offerings and
drink offerings--an
offering made by fire,
an aroma pleasing to (Yahuah).
Then sacrifice
one male goat for a
sin offering and two
lambs, each a year
old, for a fellowship
offering.
The priest is
to wave the two lambs
before (Yahuah) as a wave
offering,
together with the
bread of the first-fruits.
They are a sacred
offering to (Yahuah)
for the priest.
On that same
day you are to
proclaim a sacred
assembly and do no
regular work.
This is to be a
lasting ordinance for
the generations to
come,
wherever you live.”
Once
each year, this
anniversary
celebration occurs
that most people don't
know much about.
It's a wedding
anniversary of a marriage
between Yahuah and
Israel which occurred
at the springtime of
the year, at a
mountain called Sinai
(or Horeb), 50 days
after being delivered
from slavery in
"Egypt".
In fact, this
day is a "High
Sabbath", one of
seven High Sabbaths,
that have
traditionally been
ignored by
Constantine's hybrid
religion,
Christianity. They've
been told they're the
"bride of
Christ", yet
don't actually
remember the marriage;
they have a
"Passover
Lamb", but no
Passover; and so it
goes, on and on.
Few even know
the NAME of their
Bridegroom, Yahushua,
and so they remain
"unwise
virgins", having
no oil
(His Name is as oil
poured forth).
When
they knock to enter
the marriage feast, He
claims to not know
them.
Like Passover
was turned into a
"Sun-day" morning
"last
supper" every
week, so Shabuoth has
become a memorial to
"speaking in
tongues", rather
than being about the renewal
of the Covenant
between Yahuah and
Israel.
You can begin
your personal study of
this feast at Lev. 23,
and see how the "new
grain offering to
Yahuah" relates
to how Israel becomes
united to Yahuah
through this renewal
of the marriage
Covenant.
Yahuah's redemption
plan for Israel
has seven parts to it;
not the seven
"sacraments",
but the seven High
Sabbaths.
When you
carefully read the
text at Lev. 23,
you'll see that this
observance is to occur
on "the
morrow after the
seventh Sabbath",
so it will always be
on the first day of
the week.
The Yahudim
today observe it
differently because
they count "50
days" from a
different beginning
point; they use the
movable High Sabbath
during Unleavened
Bread instead of the
weekly Sabbath.
Also, they
don't know what the
"first
fruits" is all
about yet - it's about
Yahushua, our
Bridegroom’s
resurrection.
Acts 2 clearly
shows us that this
festival is not a
Christian one at all,
but rather ALL
ISRAEL was
gathered together as one
man before
Yahuah.
COMMITMENT
is the defining aspect
of any marriage, and
our promise to obey
Yahuah occurs at
our immersion
into the Name of
Yahushua.
We become ISRAEL,
joined in a permanent
relationship with the
Maker of Heaven and
Earth through
the Covenant.
The Mediator of
this renewed Covenant
is Yahushua, Yahuah in
human form, now the
Bridegroom of ISRAEL
(not Christianity).
Christians
don't understand what
Shabuoth really is,
nor does most of
ISRAEL; but through
the workers sent forth
into the harvest they
are learning.
Commitment to
the Covenant means
commitment to the
marriage.
Often, we hear
that
"Pentecost"
as recorded in Acts 2
is the "birthday
of the Church".
This is
because they realize
something very
important happened,
but their "Hebrew
roots" to what
that is have never
been connected
properly.
It's not a
birthday, but rather
an anniversary.
It's true that
the Spirit of Yahushua
was first given to the
120 Natsarim gathered
together for this
annual feast day at
Yerushaliyim.
A
"renewal" of
the marriage Covenant
came to the early
Natsarim with
"power"
because Yahushua took
up His dwelling-place
in His people for the
first time, and
circumcised our hearts
with a LOVE for the
marriage, the
Covenant.
This was the
first fulfillment of
the prophecy of the
“NEW” Covenant,
given at Jer./YermeYahu
31, quoted at Hebrews
chapters 8 & 10.
Our Creator
literally inscribes
His Torah on our
hearts!
What a wedding
gift He has given to
His bride, Israel!
We love
to obey Him when we
have entered the
Covenant through
immersion into His
Name. We
take our Husband's
Name upon us at our
immersion, and become
ONE with Him when He
enters into us.
We become His
TEMPLE, living stones
that together make up
this dwelling-place.
These were the
"first
fruits" of many
to come; they are the
early harvest.
We Natsarim
work the fields so
that the great harvest
will be overflowing.
As Israel vowed
to obey her husband at
Sinai, so we marry
Yahuah at our
immersion:
The
Bridegroom says,
"Love Me,
and keep My
Commandments!"
We
say,
"All that
you command, we will
do and obey!"
("We"
means ISRAEL)
What
do we obey?
The
TORAH of YAHUAH
that is our "way" or path, where we "walk".
“Go
therefore, and teach
all nations, immersing
them in the Name
of ABBA, and BEN, and
(Ruach haQodesh):
Teaching them
to observe all things
whatsoever I have
commanded you:
and see, I am with you
always, even to the
end of the world.”
Matt

HEBREW
TERMS RESTORED
In this quote,
Yahushua is talking to
Israel, His bride, and
we are to teach
the heathens to obey
the same Covenant
- so
there’s to be one
body, Israel, made up
of many “former
Gentiles”
(Eph. 2), all
obeying Torah, serving
Yahuah in spirit and
Truth.
"How
gracious He will be
when you cry for help!
As soon as He
hears, He will answer
you.
Although Yahuah
gives you the bread of
adversity and the
water of affliction,
your teacher will be
hidden no more; with
your own eyes you will
see them. Whether you
turn to the right or
to the left, your ears
will hear a voice
behind you, saying,
'This is the way; walk
in it.'" Isa/YeshaYahu:
30:19-21
(Our
teacher is His
Commandments, which
define SIN - the Torah
of Yahuah.
See also 1 Jn./Yoch
3:4).
"And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. And it shall come to pass, when you have multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, says Yahuah, they shall say no more, 'the Ark of the Covenant of Yahuah: neither
shall it come
to mind: neither shall
they remember it;
neither shall they
visit it; neither
shall that be done any
more. At
that time they shall
call Jerusalem the
throne of Yahuah; and
all the nations shall
be gathered to it, to
the Name of Yahuah, to
Jerusalem: neither
shall they walk any
more after the
imagination of their
evil heart.
In those days
the house of Yahudah
shall walk with the
house of Israel, and
they shall come
together out of the
land of the north to
the land that I have
given for an
inheritance to your
fathers."
YermeYahu/Jer 3:15-18
Nazarene Israel
is
a special group within
Israel; with Yahushua,
they are, like
Yahushua, called the
first-fruits.
Israel's
primary objective is
to obey the
Covenant (Brith), or
10 Declarations, and teach
these instructions to
the rest of mankind,
so there will be
knowledge of the true
Creator (Yahuah).
Israel is the
"wife" or
"bride" of
Yahuah, and the 10
Declarations represent
the Covenant between
Yahuah and Israel;
this makes the
relationship a
marriage CONTRACT
between them. This
Covenant is referred
to as the
"TORAH"- a
Hebrew word meaning instruction.
We were
commissioned to go and
teach all nations
everything Israel was
commanded to obey, and
immerse them into His
Name of salvation:
YAHUSHUA
(YAH
– IS OUR –
SALVATION)
No other nation
but Israel has any
Covenant relationship
with Yahuah, so in
order to enter into
one, the outsider or
foreigner must obey
the same Covenant, and
join or
"engraft"
into Israel.
The Mediator of
the Renewed Covenant
with Israel is Yahushua
ha'Mashiach.
So, Yahushua, have a wonderful anniversary this year, and thank you for allowing us to be the BRIDE You formed for yourself. Help us to become everything you expect in the perfect wife you so richly deserve,
You
Who are the King of
kings!
