How Must We Live? (Greco-Roman terms restored to Hebrew in parentheses)
2
Cor 5:6-10
“Therefore
we are always
confident and know
that as long as we are
at home in the body we
are away from (the
Sovereign).
We
live by faith,
not by sight. We
are confident, I say,
and would prefer to be
away from the body and
at home with (the
Sovereign).
So we make it
our goal to please
Him, whether we are at
home in the body or
away from it.
For we must all
appear before the
judgment seat of (Mashiach),
that each one may
receive what is due
him for the things
done while in the
body, whether good or
bad.”
2
Peter 1:20
“Above
all, you must
understand that no
prophecy of Scripture
came about by the
prophet's own
interpretation.
For prophecy
never had its origin
in the will of man,
but men spoke from (Elohim)
as they were carried
along by the (Ruach
haQodesh).
2
Peter 2
2:1
But there were also
false prophets among
the people, just as
there will be false
teachers among you. They will
secretly introduce
destructive heresies,
even denying the
sovereign (Master) who
bought them-bringing
swift destruction on
themselves. Many
will follow their
shameful ways and will
bring the way
of truth
into disrepute. In
their greed these
teachers will exploit
you with stories they
have made up.
Their
condemnation has long
been hanging over
them, and their
destruction has not
been sleeping.
For
if (Elohim) did not
spare angels when they
sinned, but sent them
to (Tartaros), putting
them into gloomy
dungeons to be held
for judgment;
if he did not
spare the ancient
world when he brought
the flood on its (unpious)
people, but protected
Noah, a preacher of
righteousness, and
seven others;
if he condemned
the cities of Sodom
and Gomorrah by
burning them to ashes,
and made them an
example of what is
going to happen to the
(unpious);
and if he
rescued Lot, a
righteous man, who was
distressed by the
filthy lives of
lawless men (for that
righteous man, living
among them day after
day, was tormented in
his righteous soul by
the lawless deeds he
saw and heard)-
if this is so,
then (Yahuah) knows
how to rescue (pious)
men from trials and to
hold the unrighteous
for the day of
judgment, while
continuing their
punishment.
This is
especially true of
those who follow the
corrupt desire of the
sinful nature and
despise authority.
Bold
and arrogant, these
men are not afraid to
slander celestial
beings;
yet even
angels, although they
are stronger and more
powerful, do not bring
slanderous accusations
against such beings in
the presence of (Yahuah).
But these men
blaspheme in matters
they do not
understand.
They are like
brute beasts,
creatures of instinct,
born only to be caught
and destroyed, and
like beasts they too
will perish.
They
will be paid back with
harm for the harm they
have done. Their
idea of pleasure is to
carouse in broad
daylight.
They are blots
and blemishes,
reveling in their
pleasures while they
feast with you.
With eyes full
of adultery, they
never stop sinning;
they seduce the
unstable; they are
experts in greed-an
accursed brood!
They have left
the straight way and
wandered off to follow
the way of Balaam son
of Beor, who loved the
wages of wickedness.
But he was
rebuked for his
wrongdoing by a
donkey-
a beast without
speech-
who spoke with
a man's voice and
restrained the
prophet's madness.
These
men are springs
without water and
mists driven by a
storm.
Blackest
darkness is reserved
for them.
For they mouth
empty, boastful words
and, by appealing to
the lustful desires of
sinful human nature, they
entice people who are
just escaping from
those who live in
error.
They promise
them freedom, while
they themselves are
slaves of depravity-
for a
man is a slave to
whatever has mastered
him.
If they have
escaped the corruption
of the world by
knowing our
(Sovereign) and Savior
(Yahusha
ha’Mashiach) and are
again entangled in it
and overcome, they are
worse off at the end
than they were at the
beginning.
It would have
been better for them
not to have known the way
of righteousness,
than to have known it
and then to turn their
backs on the
(set-apart) command
that was passed on to
them.
Of them the
proverbs are true:
"A dog
returns to its
vomit," and,
"A sow
that is washed goes
back to her wallowing
in the mud."
2
Peter 3
“Dear
friends, this is now
my second letter to
you.
I have written
both of them as
reminders to stimulate
you to wholesome
thinking.
I want you to
recall the words
spoken in the past by
the (set-apart)
prophets and the
command given by our
(Sovereign) and Savior
through your apostles.
First
of all, you must
understand that in the
last days
scoffers will come,
scoffing and following
their own evil
desires.
They will say,
"Where is this
'coming' he promised?
Ever since our fathers
died, everything goes
on as it has since the
beginning of
creation."
But they
deliberately forget
that long ago by (Elohim’s)
word the heavens
existed and the earth
was formed out of
water and by water.
By these waters
also the world of that
time was deluged and
destroyed.
By the same
word the present
heavens and earth are
reserved for fire,
being kept for the day
of judgment and
destruction of (unpious)
men.
But
do not forget this one
thing, dear friends:
With the (Master) a
day is like a thousand
years, and a thousand
years are like a day.
The (Master) is
not slow in keeping
His promise, as some
understand slowness.
He is patient
with you, not wanting
anyone to perish, but
everyone to come to
repentance.
But
the day of (Yahuah)
will come like a
thief.
The heavens
will disappear with a
roar; the elements
will be destroyed by
fire, and the earth
and everything in it
will be laid bare.
Since
everything will be
destroyed in this way,
what kind of people
ought you to be? You
ought to live holy and
godly lives as you
look forward to the
day of (Elohim) and
speed its coming.
That day will
bring about the
destruction of the
heavens by fire, and
the elements will melt
in the heat.
But in keeping
with his promise we
are looking forward to
a new heaven and a new
earth, the home of
righteousness.
“So
then, dear friends,
since you are looking
forward to this, make
every effort to be
found spotless,
blameless and at peace
with him.
Bear in mind
that our
(Sovereign’s)
patience means
salvation, just as our
dear brother Paul also
wrote you with the
wisdom that (Elohim)
gave him.
He writes the
same way in all his
letters, speaking in
them of these matters.
His letters
contain some things
that are hard to
understand, which
ignorant and unstable
people distort, as
they do the other
Scriptures, to their
own destruction.
Therefore,
dear friends, since
you already know this,
be on your guard so
that you may not be
carried away by the error
of lawless men and
fall from your secure
position.
But grow in the
(chasid) and knowledge
of our (Sovereign) and
Savior (Yahusha
ha’Mashiach). To Him
be (esteem) both now
and forever! Amen.”
TWO
MAIN
Rev
12:17
“Then
the dragon was enraged
at the woman and went
off to make war
against the rest of
her offspring-
those
who obey
(Elohim’s)
commandments
and
hold
to the testimony of (Yahusha).”
Rev
14:12
“This
calls for patient
endurance on the part
of the saints who obey
(Elohim’s)
commandments
and
remain
faithful to (Yahusha).”
The
two "camps"
are:
Camp
#1:
Those who
"believe",
but set-aside certain
Commandments
(particularly
Sabbaths, eating clean
food) and;
Camp
#2:
Those who believe
AND obey
the commanded
Sabbaths, and the
forsaking of Pagan
elements that
encroached into the
true faith within a
few centuries after
Yahusha came to us.
These believers would
want to also obey by:
restoring
the original Sabbath,
restoring
the
true, authentic Name
of the One they serve,
and
exposing
the Pagan elements
found in Christianity.
Any
combination of these
three are considered
"toxic
faith" and
"legalism"
to those of the "believe-only"
camp. Many
believe Yahusha saved
them from
the Torah that defines
sin, and then gave
“sacraments”
through which they
could obtain
“grace”.
Believing yet
not obeying means we
have something in
common with the
adversary
-
because:
James
2:18-20
“But
someone will say,
‘You have faith;
I have
deeds.’
Show
me your faith without
deeds, and I will show
you my faith by what I
do.
You believe
that there is one (Elohim).
Good!
Even
the demons believe
that --
and shudder .
You
foolish man, do you
want evidence that
faith without
deeds
is useless?”
James
2:20
NAS:
“But
are you willing to
recognize, you foolish
fellow, that faith
without works is
useless?”
FALSE
TEACHERS
2
Cor 11:13-15
“For
such men are false
apostles, deceitful
workmen, masquerading
as apostles of (Mashiach).
And no wonder, for
Satan himself
masquerades as an
angel of light.
It is not
surprising, then, if
his servants
masquerade as servants
of righteousness.
Their end will be what their actions deserve.”
How must
we live to gain
eternal life?
Dan
7:24-27
“And
the ten horns out of
this kingdom are ten
kings that shall
arise: and another
shall rise after them;
and he shall be
diverse from the
first, and he shall
subdue three kings.
And
he shall speak great
words against the most
High, and shall wear
out the saints of the
most High, and
think to change times
and laws: and they
shall be given into
his hand until a time
and times and the
dividing of time.
But
the judgment shall
sit, and they shall
take away his
dominion, to consume
and to destroy it to
the end.
And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.”
Times and
Laws as
defined from the
Hebrew words above:
LAWS:
#1881
DATH:
law,
decree, regulation
TIMES:
#2165
ZEMANIN:
appointed
times
THE
CHANGE:
Abolished
Torah, and replaced
Yahuah’s appointed
times with formerly
Pagan “times”, or “times
of the Gentiles”.
The
Pagans at Galatia were
converted, yet they
still had
"special
days" and other
Pagan customs calling
them back like a dog
returning to what it
had vomited:
"Formerly,
when you did not know
(Elohim), you were
slaves to those who by
nature are not (elohim).
But now that you know
(Elohim)-or rather are
known by (Elohim)-how
is it that you are
turning back to those
weak and miserable
principles? Do
you wish to be
enslaved by them all
over again? You
are observing special
days and months and
seasons and years!
I fear for you, that
somehow I have wasted
my efforts on
you."

Catholic
redemption
is based on the SEVEN
“SACRAMENTS”,
dispensing
“grace” through
the mediatorship of
the Catholic
priesthood.
Deut 4:1-2
“Do
not add to what I
command you and do not
subtract
from it, but keep the
commands of (Yahuah)
your (Elohim) that I
give you.”
Deut 12:32
“See
that you do all I
command you; do not add
to
it or take
away
from it.”
SO
THEY ADDED THE 7
“SACRAMENTS” TO
THE PLAN?
And
changed the day of
rest from the 7th
day to the 1st
day of the week?
And
stopped the observance
of Passover,
Unleavened Bread,
Shabuoth, Yom Teruah,
Yom Kaphar, and
Sukkoth . . .
And
instead adapted the
previous Pagan
observances of
Sun-day, Easter, and
Saturnalia (now called
“Christmas”).
The
manna lesson was all
about teaching Israel
to remember the
Sabbath.
The
Sabbath had been
forgotten by Israel
while in Mitsrayim
(Egypt).
Now,
the Roman world has
forgotten it again.
SIGN
OF
THE EVERLASTING
COVENANT
The
Sabbath is the sign of
the everlasting
Covenant with Israel
- the bond of
the Covenant rests
upon the Sabbath
observance, a
remembrance of
Creation itself.
Christmas
is not the sign of the
Covenant, neither is
Sun-day.
The
Sabbath is spoken of
eschatologically by
Yahusha at Mt. 24:20
at the end of this
short list of verses:
Ex
31:13 "Say
to the Israelites,
'You must observe My
Sabbaths.
This will be a
sign
between Me and you for
the generations to
come, so you may know
that I am (Yahuah),
who makes you (qodesh)."
Ex
31:16-17 "The
Israelites are to
observe the Sabbath,
celebrating it for the
generations
to come as a lasting
covenant.
It will be a
sign
between Me and the
Israelites forever,
for in six days (Yahuah)
made the heavens and
the earth, and on the
seventh day he
abstained from work
and rested.'"
Heb
4:4-6 "For
somewhere He has
spoken about the seventh
day
in these words: 'And
on the seventh day (Yahuah)
rested from all His
work.' And
again in the passage
above He says, 'They
shall never enter my
rest.' It
still remains that
some will enter that
rest, and those who
formerly had the (besorah)
preached to them did
not go in, because of
their
disobedience."
Heb
4:9-11: "There
remains,
then, a Sabbath for
the people of (Elohim);
for anyone who enters (Elohim's)
rest also rests
from his own work,
just as (Elohim)
did from His.
Let us, therefore,
make every effort to
enter that rest, so
that no one will fall
by following their
example of
disobedience."
Ezek
20:12 "Also
I gave them My
Sabbaths as a sign between
us, so they would know
that I (Yahuah) made
them (qodesh)."
Ezek
20:20: "Keep
My Sabbaths (qodesh),
that they may be a
sign between
us. Then you will know
that I am (Yahuah)
your (Elohim)."
Matt
24:20:
"Pray that
your flight will not
take place in winter
or on the
Sabbath."
We
also find that in the
world-to-come the
Sabbath is the sign or
mark (also see Is.
66), and how important
it is in deciding who
comes to Yahuah and
who does not:
Isa
56:6-7: "And
foreigners who bind
themselves to (Yahuah)
to serve Him, to love
the Name of (Yahuah),
and to worship Him,
all
who keep the Sabbath
without desecrating it
and who hold fast to
My Covenant--
these I will bring
to My (qodesh)
mountain and give them
joy in My house of
prayer."
So,
it would appear that
keeping and teaching
this Truth would only
upset other people,
placing a "mark"
on us. Those who
ignore the Sabbath
can
"buy and
sell", but we who
observe the Sabbath may
not buy and sell,
so we have not
received the mark of
the beast (Rev. 13).
Having
a Covenant with Yahuah
involves having the
“sign” of the
Covenant,
The
Sabbath.
HOW
MUST WE LIVE?
(Yahusha)
answered, "It is
written: 'Man does not
live on bread alone,
but on every word that
comes from the mouth
of (Elohim).'"
Matt 4:4
“Remember
how (Yahuah) your (Elohim)
led you all the way in
the desert these forty
years, to humble you
and to test you in
order to know what was
in your heart, whether
or not you would keep
His Commands.
He humbled you,
causing you to hunger
and then feeding you
with manna, which
neither you nor your
fathers had known, to
teach you that man
does not live on bread
alone but on every
Word that comes from
the mouth of (Yahuah).”
Deut 8:2-4
Word
=
Commandments (TORAH,
instructions), The
Covenant!
Yahusha
is the Mediator of
the Covenant, not any
man, pope, priest, or
organization.
Yahusha fixes
our hearts, making our
“hard heartedness”
and rebellion
dissipate, giving us
His perspectives
toward His
Commandments.
He
writes them on the
tablet of our heart,
as He formerly wrote
them on stone.
Mediator:
from
L. medius
"middle".
1.
One that
mediates, especially
one that reconciles
differences between
disputants.
2.
One that works
to effect
reconciliation,
settlement.

by this we know that
we have come to know
Him, if we keep
His Commandments.
The one who
says, "I have
come to know
Him," and does
not keep His
commandments, is a
liar, and the truth is
not in him;
but whoever
keeps His Word, in him
the love of (Elohim)

By
this we know
that we are in Him:
the one who
says he abides in Him
ought himself to walk
in the same manner as
He walked.
Beloved,
I am not writing a new
Commandment to you, but
an old Commandment
which you have had
from the beginning; the old
Commandment is the
Word which you have

THE
GREATEST QUESTON:
Matt
19:16-22
“Now
a man came up to (Yahusha)
and asked, ‘Rabbi,
what good thing must I
do to get eternal life
?’
‘Why
do you ask me about
what is good?’
(Yahusha)
replied. ‘There is
only One who is good.
If you want to
enter life, obey
the commandments.’
‘Which
ones?’
the man
inquired.
(Yahusha)
replied, 'Do not
murder, do not commit
adultery, do not
steal, do not give
false testimony,
honor your
father and mother,'
and 'love your
neighbor as
yourself.'"
‘All
these I have kept,’
the young man said.
‘What do I still
lack?’
(Yahusha)
answered, ‘If you
want to be perfect,
go, sell your
possessions and give
to the poor, and you
will have treasure in
heaven.
Then come,
follow me.’
When
the young man heard
this, he went away
sad, because he had
great wealth.”
Scripture
tells us we are the
servant of the one whom
we obey.
People intend to
worship the Creator,
yet they are tricked
into performing that
worship in a false
way. Yahusha
described false
worship as a broad
road that leads to
destruction, and it is
cheered-on by
messengers,
masquerading as workers
of righteousness.
We are warned of the
false teachings by
false teachers.
From the point-of-view
of the flesh, we look
upon our
"intentions".
An example is the
intention of the
Israelites when they
made the golden calf.
They intended it to
honor Yahuah, the text
says so. But, it
was according to a
Pagan format, learned
previously in Egypt.
3000 died that day.
If we perform the
teachings of Jezebel
(Rev. 2:20-23), our
intentions
(point-of-view) will
not make what is Pagan
acceptable.
We are the servants of the one we OBEY. If we obey traditions of men, or worse, satan, then we serve that entity.
Matt
28:18-20:
"All
authority in heaven
and on earth has been
given to Me.
Therefore
go and make disciples
of all nations,
baptizing them in the
Name of the Father and
of the Son and of the
(Ruach haQodesh),
and
teaching them to obey
everything I have
commanded you.
And
surely I am with you
always, to the very
end of the age."
Yahusha ha’Mashiach
“Neither
is there salvation in
any other: for there
is none other name
under heaven given
among men,
by
which we must be
saved.”
Acts
4:12
