REVELATION 12
The meaning of the symbols; woman, clothed with sun, 12 stars, moon, great
dragon
The questions:
What do Ya'akob's
blessings over his 12 sons represent? and why did he speak in those
particular descriptive words?
Why does Abba specifically speak
of a great sign in the heavens in Revelation 12:1-2 and another sign in the
heavens in verse 3? and go on to explain what they mean? Where would that
info come from? and why would it be important enough for Him to detail it
there?
Lew’s answer:
It’s about the last days.
(Bereshith 49 through 50, and Revelation 12:1-2)
These two sections you mentioned are connected
if the true meanings of the symbols are understood.
It’s an understanding for those of us in the
“last days”, and here’s how it begins:
Gen 49:1 “And
YaAqob called his sons and said, ‘Gather together, so that I declare to you
what is to befall you in the last days.’”
Previously, YaAqob had crossed his arms as he
blessed Menashah and Efraim, a shadow indicating the younger in the faith
(in the last days) would carry, and realize, the blessing bestowed on them,
while the older brother would also be blessed but receive a slightly
different level of inheritance. The older brother may also represent the
former Covenant having come first as a dim reflection, but it becomes
renewed through the Power of Yahusha and carried into the world by the
younger brother, the brother coming to the Torah in the last days.
Finally, YaAqob blesses each of the heads of the
tribes, describing their behavioral traits and experiences ahead of them in
the future.
The connection with the text at Revelation 12
is realized in the meaning of all the terms. The
woman clothed with the Sun is the body of Yisharal,
who gave birth to Mashiak. The Sun is the presence of Yahuah’s Word (Yahusha),
imbuing righteous behavior (clothing). The moon at the feet of the woman is
the reflected light Yisharal always stood on, yet she now radiates on her
own having received the indwelling of the Light of the world, Yahusha.
The stars are the 12 emissaries, who also
represent the completion of the blessing on YaAqob’s 12 sons. These symbols
were formerly predicted by the dream of Yusef concerning his status among
his brothers, and his father and mother, the Sun and Moon. Yusef is a shadow
of Yahusha. The redemptive work of Yahusha rescues all 12 tribes. It’s
always been about Yahusha, not the Zodiac.
