The word is more properly transliterated "YERUSHALEM", which is made up of 2 parts: the Hebrew words "IR" (city) + "SHALOM".
So, the city's name literally means "City of Peace". That has to be the paradox of the ages, eh?
Now, what is the message contained in this unusual sticker? Many have said "I looks like you're saying that "USA" is the capital of Israel". Actually, it is really saying that Israel is supported by the USA, and more importantly that the USA recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Also, many "lost" Israelites are inside Christianity, and the USA was founded upon Judeo-Christian principles. While the US government supports the Israeli government, many believers who live in the USA support the Israeli people as the people of the Covenants, because the most important Person ever to live on this Earth is an Israelite. Whether you look at it politically or "religiously", many in the USA wish to bless Israel. I get "corrected" all the time by some who want to tell me that "those people (in Israel) aren't really Jews". Well, they'll have to do until the real thing comes along; anyone who observes Torah is my brother or sister. The Jesuit-composed "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" book continues to deceive many people. The UN is a Humanist organization, and everything that the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" accuse the "Jews" of, they are in fact implementing through the UN. (I capitalized the word Humanist, because it is a religion). The "Protocols" originally were proliferated among the Russian police forces, intending to incite mass attacks against the Yahudim; and this in fact happened, in the "pogroms". But the pogroms were not nearly as severe as the designers wanted, so the "Protocols" were unleashed later on Germany. The anti-Semitic Thule society, which influenced Hitler, had a similar agenda to the global conspirators (Jesuits). The Jesuits wrote the "Protocols" in order to shift the blame on Israel - for what they themselves were actually doing!
The UN is in fact implementing the "Protocols" right down to the letter. Keep watching them.
