WHAT ARE THE EAGLES?

Question from a sister: Do you have an understanding of the meaning of the words at Matthew 24:28; Luke 17:37?
I'd appreciate hearing your views in this.
Answer:
In pursuing this understanding, we are attempting to understand prophecy.
The only way to understand prophecy is to have it revealed to us by Yahusha,
Who is in us. We don't take credit for the revelation of prophecy, but give
all honor to Yahusha:
"And I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “See, do not do it! I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who possess the witness of Yahusha. Worship Alahim! For the witness of Yahusha is the Spirit of prophecy.” Rev. 19:10
No one can boast, because we received the understanding. (1 Cor. 4:7). Even the love for the Truth is received as a free gift.
Those have been immersed into the Name of Yahusha and have been sealed in their "foreheads" with His Name have been given the Mind of His Spirit, and when they read Scripture, Yahusha gives them understanding.
Without His revelation, the meaning of Scripture remains blocked, or closed to all who study it.
Being "sealed" in the true Name is vital for us. Rejecting His true Name now will make a person culpable for having rejected TRUTH, and preferring men's traditions. To understand the intended meaning of words and symbols in Scripture, context is most important.
The topic in the parables is Torah observance contrasted with disobedience.
In the case of Luke 17 and Mat. 24, the topic being discussed is the
great distress, and the harvesting of the Earth.
The “eagles” are the messengers or reapers first sent forth to destroy the
wicked inhabitants of the Earth,
not touching those who are
sealed
in the Name of Yahusha (Rev. 6:8). The upright will witness the reapers, because in
other places we are told the weeds will be gathered FIRST. The wicked are
removed from “the midst” of the righteous. It’s the opposite of how the
Christians are taught it will be. Look at the context:
Luk 17:32-37: “Remember the wife of Lot.
Whoever seeks to save his life shall lose it, and whoever loses his life
shall preserve it.
I say to you, in that night there shall be two in one bed, the one shall be
taken and the other shall be left.
Two shall be grinding together, the one shall be taken and the other shall
be left.
Two shall be in the field, the one shall be taken and the other shall be
left.”
And they answering, said to Him, “Where, Master?” And He said to them,
“Where
the body (corpse) is, there also the eagles shall be gathered together.”
Mat 24:23-31: “If anyone then says to you, ‘Look, here is the Mashiak!’ or
‘There!’ do not believe.
For false mashiaks and false prophets shall arise, and they shall show great
signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.
See, I have forewarned you.
So if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look,
He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe.
For as the lightning comes from the east and shines to the west, so also
shall the coming of the Son of Adam be.
For wherever the dead body is, there the eagles shall be gathered
together.
And immediately after the distress (pressure, tribulation) of those days the
sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars
shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
And then the sign of the Son of Adam shall appear in the heaven, and then
all the tribes of the Earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Adam
coming on the clouds of the heaven with power and much esteem.
And He shall send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they
shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of
the heavens to the other.”
The second thing the messengers do is gather the chosen ones.

The Hebrew was the main source used for accurately conveying word meanings, expressions, and transliterating names and other words.
No small number of former translations were consulted, but a great cloud of them for their best parts, leaving aside the unclear or out-right erroneous elements. This Besorah Of Yahusha is not based on the former one in any way; the only thing that I consulted from that version was my own preface material, which was the extent of my involvement in that effort. The Hebrew text, and to some extent the Greek RT for the Natsarim Writings, were the sources that resolved difficult passages, and settled the vocalization difficulties. For example, the word Caesar is not in the Hebrew, but is in the Greek. In this new Besorah Of Yahusha, it is transliterated "Kaisar" as it originally appears in the text. The text consulted for this included the Kohlenberger Interlinear Hebrew-English, Hendrickson's Interlinear Hebrew-English.
